Arts

At St. Francis we have a thriving arts community. From our music to our drama to our art St. Francis is one of the most arts oriented high schools in Prescott-Russell.

The Arts appreciation trip to Washington D.C. (May 2006) was an amazing experience for all those who participated. Students had the opportunity to see many of the most famous landmarks of Washington including the Washington Monument, The White House and The Lincoln Memorial. Students also experienced several great shows, a haunted tour of Gettysburg and a whole day at the Smithsonian. Click here to see some pictures of the trip.

The play "The Funny Thing About High School" (June 2006) was incredibly well done and was enjoyed by everyone who saw it.

Some grade 10 English students had this to say:

bullet    "This play was interesting and funny. ... The acting was good. I didn't know some of my peers could act as well as they did."
bullet    "The one thing I liked most about this play is how the  situations used in it we see very often. For example, all the gossip that was going around or how the student didn't know anything on his test. This play was very realistic."
