The St. F.X music program is quite extensive. Under the guidance of Mr. S. Pankiewicz and Mr. S. McInnis students at the 7/8 level are introduced to the fundamentals of instrumental music. Beginning in grade 9, students face more challenging repertoire, explore the lighter side of music history and are prepared for the vast array of music courses in grades 10-12. In grade 10, instrumental, vocal, guitar and stage (jazz) courses are all offered as credit courses. Along with many choices of art and drama courses, St. F.X prides itself as being a school dedicated to preserving arts education. By the time some students reach grade 12, over half of their schedule is filled with music, art and drama.
